A case of fruit flies that hatch, grow, age and die. Tap a fly to take it to the experiment room on the right and switch on its real brain. Whatever you tap in the row below appears in that room.
The responses on screen are model computations. They do not predict real fly behaviour.

First response: the first body signal (80 ms average) to cross its threshold within (stimulus length + 0.6 s) of the stimulus. Spider: an escape if the giant fibre passes 20 Hz by 5 ms before the legs reach the fly. Thresholds: jump and proboscis 20 Hz, the rest 30 Hz (set values). Sensory input is random, so the same stimulus differs a little each time. These are model computations; counts are not real flies' probabilities. The log lives only in this tab and is not saved.
